King Kalākaua Celebration
On the morning of November 15th, 2013, brethren from throughout the Hawaii masonic jurisdiction converged on Waikiki to celebrate the birthday of King Kalākaua (The Merrie Monarch). To the surprise of many (even locals), a prominent masonic statue of Worshipful Brother Kalākaua stands in the center of Waikiki. It was at this statue that Masons, members of the Royal Orders and the community at large joined in celebrating this auspicious event.
