Worshipful Mark L. receives the Past Master's Degree

On September 25, 2014, Worshipful Brother Mark L. (current Master) was conferred the time-honored degree of Past Master. The Past Master’s degree was conferred during a special joint program of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Hawaii, which included the Honolulu Chapter No. 1 and Kalakaua Chapter No. 2 RAM. This degree is conferred because ancient custom required that a Mason must be a Past Master in order to be exalted to the Royal Arch. In some Grand Jurisdictions this degree is still conferred upon all sitting Masters of the Blue Lodges.
