WB Mark Leo honored by the Grand Chapter of RAM of Hawaii

Worshipful Brother Mark Leo was recently honored by the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Hawaii where he was presented with a parchment signifying his symbolic induction into the Oriental Chair as a Past Master. Bro. Dave Baxter presented Worshipful Bro. Leo with his certificate at the October stated meeting of Honolulu Lodge F&AM.

*On September 25, 2014, Worshipful Brother Mark Leo (current Master) was conferred the time-honored degree of Past Master. The Past Master’s degree was conferred during a special joint program of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Hawaii, which included the Honolulu Chapter No. 1 and Kalakaua Chapter No. 2 RAM. This degree is conferred because ancient custom required that a Mason must be a Past Master in order to be exalted to the Royal Arch. In some Grand Jurisdictions this degree is still conferred upon all sitting Masters of the Blue Lodges.*
